Jan Clostermann, Founder and Director of CLOU architects, was invited by Binke Lenhardt of Crossboundaries x Tsinghua University to be a guest speaker at the university course “Good Life-Future Commercial Space”. The course dives into the changes of people’s purchasing and social habits and what the future of commercial space will be. 

Jan spoke about the evolving concept of social space within CLOU’s design of commercial space, and emphatically discussed Vanke PlayStack Shenyang as a case study for a new type of community mall with the students. After the lecture, the group joined on a tour of the CLOU office, to explore the model workshop, the stepped display, and the open office area.
